President/Principal

Mark Guillen

As former Director of Civic Engagement and Government Contract for Molina Healthcare, he was responsible for building vital relationships between civic leaders, nonprofit organizations, local legislators and other Community Based Organizations. Currently, Mark directs Public Affairs for a major Fortune 500 company. Mark participates in philanthropic giving for a number of organizations: The Rumba Foundation, The Long Beach Community Foundation, and the personal philanthropy of a number of individuals.

Prior to his founding of GC, Mark spent 28 years with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, as a Senior Project Manager in Research and Monitoring and the Energy Recovery Department, overseeing some of the largest programs of its kind in the United States. Mark serves as a board member for the Compton Community College District, the Rumba Foundation of Long Beach, the Center for Ethical Leadership at CSULB, Musica Angelica, and the Institute of Innovation CSULB. Mark holds degrees in Biology and Film and Television from UCLA. He is a recent alumnus of the Leadership Long Beach Executive Leadership Series. Mark is a native of the greater Long Beach area, where he attended local private and public schools. His family is well-respected in the region for their generations of leadership. Mark is married to Claire Guillen and they have two daughters, Abigail and Sophia.
